Lorne David Lloyd

<p>Lorne passed away peacefully at his home in Campbell River.</p> <p>Lorne was born in Chatham New Brunswick to Doris Russell and Walter Lloyd. Lorne&nbsp;grew up with his brothers Kenny, Kevin and sisters Shirley and&nbsp;Linda.&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;As a teen he loved to spend time his friends then later went to work in the mines which lasted for the next 50 years. This sparked his passion for prospecting and the&nbsp;outdoors.&nbsp; Then in the late 60s he decided to move out west to&nbsp;Vancouver, B.C. and&nbsp;then moved to Campbell River where he met&nbsp;and married Leona Danyluk. He&nbsp;started a family her and&nbsp;her two sons Blake and Wayne who he loved so dear. As a family they loved to travel and visit relatives and friends. Lorne was also a proud&nbsp;member of the Royal&nbsp;Canadian Legion.&nbsp;</p> <p>He will always be remembered&nbsp;for his achievements and missed by many family, friends and coworkers.</p> <p>A very special thanks to Trent Kroetsch, his roommate and friend for the past 20 years, the Fire department,&nbsp;the Ambulance service, and Dr. Debruin.</p> <p>A celebration of life will be held on September, Sunday the 5th 2021 at 2:00pm at 3944 Barclay Rd.&nbsp; in&nbsp;Campbell River B.C.</p>

Obituary

Lorne passed away peacefully at his home in Campbell River.

Lorne was born in Chatham New Brunswick to Doris Russell and Walter Lloyd. Lorne grew up with his brothers Kenny, Kevin and sisters Shirley and Linda.    As a teen he loved to spend time his friends then later went to work in the mines which lasted for the next 50 years. This sparked his passion for prospecting and the outdoors.  Then in the late 60s he decided to move out west to Vancouver, B.C. and then moved to Campbell River where he met and married Leona Danyluk. Lorne was also a proud member of the Royal Canadian Legion. 

He will always be remembered for his achievements and missed by many family, friends and coworkers.
