Lonnie Reub Watkins Jr., age 51, passed suddenly from this life during the early morning hours of Monday, July 19, 2021, at his home. He was born on the 3rd day of June 1970 in Temple, Texas to parents Lonnie Reub and Rose Antonia (Baladez) Watkins. Lonnie has been a resident of the Troy and Pendleton area for his entire life. He married his wife of 19 years Gabriela Cortez in Troy, Texas in 2002. Lonnie will be missed dearly by his friends and family. He is preceded in death by his parents Lonnie and Rose. Lonnie leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife Gabriela Watkins of Troy, daughter Antonia Gabrielle of Temple, stepdaughter Michelle Maxfield and husband Vance of Troy, stepson Henry Davis Jr. and wife Sandra of Troy, brother George Watkins of Troy, and eight grandchildren all of Troy. Services are private. Hewett-Arney Funeral Home of Temple is entrusted with these arrangements.
