Mr. Raymant “Ray” L. Glinski, 88, beloved husband of Mrs. Minnie Vickers Smith-Glinski, entered into rest on Sunday, July 18, 2021. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Connie B. Glinski; his brothers, Guy Marty and Robert Glinski, his sister, Doris Maloney, and his precious dachshund, Roxie. Left to cherish his memory with his wife Minnie are his children: Raymant L. Glinski, Jr. (Bobbi), of Brownsville, Texas, John L. Glinski, of Murfreesboro, TN, Tina Rabiipour (Hamid), of Charlotte, NC, Robert P. Glinski, of Gastonia, NC, Frank A. Glinski (Chris), of Murfreesboro, TN, and Lisa Jeffcoat (Troy), of Indian Trail, NC; Minnie’s sons: Jimmie D. Bowden (Anna), of Grovetown, GA and Mackie M. Bowden (Kim), of Atlanta, GA and a sister, Lois Rasmusson, of Arizona. Ray and Minnie were blessed with a combined fifteen grandchildren and twenty-eight great-grandchildren. Mr. Glinski was born in Sugar Camp, WI to the late Frank Alois and Magdalena Christiana Binkowski Glinski. He proudly and with honor served his country in the United States Air Force. Ray was a successful barbershop owner in Milwaukee, WI in the 1960s and also a self-employed businessman from owning and operating a car dealership to convenience stores. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Peace, North Augusta, SC, and a member of the Knights of Columbus, North Augusta, SC. A prayer vigil will be held on Thursday evening at 6 o’clock at Hatcher Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 3464 Jefferson Davis Highway, Graniteville, SC 29829, with a visitation following until 8 o’clock. The Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted Friday morning at 11 o’clock from Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church. Father Richard Wilson Celebrant. Final prayers and Commendation in Calvary Cemetery, Aiken, SC with Veteran’s Honors accorded by the United States Air Force. Pallbearers will be his grandsons; Raymant Lester Glinski, III, Matthew L. Glinski, Alex Glinski, Nicholas Rabiipour, Nathan Jeffcoat, and Tim Jeffcoat. Honorary pallbearers are Louie Broxton, Tom Healy, Hilton Hook, Ron Hijuk, and Eugene Simpson. Memorials may be made to Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Center, P.O. Box 358, Gloverville, SC 29828.
