<p>MEREDITH, Shelby Lee, Jr. &quot;Skip&quot; - Age 73, of Holly, died Sunday, July 18, 2021. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Friday, July 23, 2021 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton, his service will be live streamed and may be viewed at the bottom of his obituary page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com. Fr. David Blazek officiating. Burial 2:00 PM Monday, July 26, 2021 at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 4-8 PM Thursday where a V.F.W. Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the Fenton V.F.W. Curtis Wolverton Post #3243.</p> <p>Skip was born March 8, 1948 in Little Rock, AR, the son of Shelby Lee, Sr. and Eleanor Cecile (Dinser) Meredith. He was a graduate of Clarkston High School. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the U.S. Army. He married Janet S. Honeycutt July 17, 1993 in Ortonville. Skip retired in 2006 from GM Truck and Bus Plant #6 in Pontiac after 33 years of service. He was a member of the Fenton V.F.W. Curtis Wolverton Post #3243 where he was Post Commander from 2012-2013 and a member of the Honor Guard. He also was a member of the U.A.W., the Holly American Legion Post #149, and Holly Moose Lodge #1168. He enjoyed music, Historic Reenactments, hunting, and riding motorcycles.</p> <p>Surviving are: his wife, Janet; daughters, Tara Keimer of Westland, Kelly (Anthony) Belcuore of Fenton, Thyra Carnes of Grand Blanc, Nedra (Nate) Stafford of Waterford; grandchildren, Asya, Walter, Ashlee, Shaun, Ella, Madison, Daniel, Camerin, and Samuel; great grandson, Parker; sister, Charlotte Fields of South Carolina; sister-in-law, Lisa Campbell of Argentine; and nieces and nephew, Megan, Heather, and Bill.</p> <p>He was preceded in death by his parents; stepfather, Calvin Campbell, son, Shelby Lee &quot;Skippy&quot; Meredith, III; granddaughter, Caraline Rose; and brother, Bill Campbell.
