Ischua – Virgil G. "Roman Candle" Wilber "Loving Father & Grandfather" Virgil G. "Roman Candle" Wilber, of 2833 Williams Hollow Road, passed away on Sunday, July 18, 2021, at his home following an illness. Virgil was born on April 18, 1942 in New Jersey and was a son of Myron G. and Vernie Ethel White Wilber. He was an auto mechanic for many years throughout his life and also worked on a dairy farm for a period of time. Virgil was a member of the Franklinville Veteran's Club and the Franklinville Aristocrats Chapter IOOB #1517. He enjoyed shooting pool, hunting, horseshoes, and camping, but he truly enjoyed fishing. Virgil is survived by; 4 children, Janice M. (James) Wiles of Chatsworth, IL, Edward G. Wilber of Florida, JoAnn (Bruce) Dancer of Chatsworth, IL, and Julie L. Wilber of Olean; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; and a brother, Russell C. (Debbie) Wilber of Ischua. Virgil was predeceased by 2 infant grandsons, Matthew Collins and Austin Wiles, and 2 brothers, Robert and Ronald Wilber. A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, July 23, 2021 at the Five Mile Cemetery in Allegany at 1:45 pm. The Rev. Douglas Travis, Pastor of Harvest Field Ministries will officiate.
