Linda Jean Stapleton 73 of Morganton died Monday, July 19, 2021 at Autumn Care of Drexel. Born February 9th, 1948 she was the daughter of Theodore Hill Chandler of Hickory and Betty Jean Chandler.  A true Southern Belle, someone that you didn't ask if you didn't want to know. She enjoyed spending time with her family, particularly her grandchildren.

Two daughters, Frances Barnes of Morganton and Rebecca Connelly of Hickory; three sons, Billy Stapleton and wife Teresa of Hudson, Richard Stapleton of Morganton, and Jesse Stapleton and wife Amber of Morganton; her father, Ted Chandler of Hickory; a brother, Jim Chandler and wife Dedrie; 10 grandchildren, Billy Stapleton, Jr, Dustin Minton, Brittany Smith, Christopher Stapleton, Roxanne Humphries, Cody Connelly, Jesse Stapleton, Jr., Jacob Stapleton, Kady Downs and Emily Stapleton; five great grandchildren, Bentley and Braden Stapleton, Noah and Hydi Smith and Devon Minton; two nieces, Catherine and Julia Chandler and an adopted son, David Belcher survive her.

There are no funeral services planned for Linda Stapleton.
