Linville Clay Case

Linville Clay Case, 83, widower of Sharon Collins Case, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 15, 2021, at Clark Regional Medical Center.  His former wife Peggy Flinchum was with him as he made his Heavenly flight. He was born in Cobb Hill, Irvine, Kentucky, on September 25, 1937, the first son of the late Garnie and Katie Bailey Case.  He was retired from Rockwell International.    Survivors include five children, Vickie (Johnny) Hensley, Shari (Ronnie) Thomas, Gary Case, Jennifer Lynn (Rob) Combs, and Jonathan Logan (Sherri) Case; siblings, Calvin (Emma) Case, Rodney (Vickie) Case, Margie Case, Thelma (Buddy) Farmer, and Mavis Holland; as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family members.    Linville had a full life of bluegrass music he and his brothers played as a band called “The Case Brothers.” His family considers themselves blessed to have grown-up with the beautiful sounds of bluegrass and gospel that the entire family sang and blessed by undying love of our Father God and Christ Jesus.    In addition to his parents and wife, he is preceded in death by siblings, David G. Case, Wyoma Estes, James Case and Charlene Miller.    Services will be at 12:00PM on Tuesday, June 20th, 2021 at Scobee Funeral Home by Pastor Dusty Sullivan of Gospel Way Church in Cecelia, Ky offciating.  Burial will follow in Clarmont Memorial Gardens.  Pallbearers will be Ronnie Thomas, Christopher Kirby, Rod Case, Calvin Case, Scott Chason, Isaac Goodrich, J.B. Berry, and Thomas Christopher Kirby.  Honorary pallbearers will be Gary Case and Jonathan Case.   Visitation will be from 11:00AM until time of service.
