Deosaran Dookie

Deosaran "Peppy" Dookie, age 56 departed from us in his home in Ozone Park, Queens NY on July 5th 2021. Peppy was born on February 6th, 1965 in Pasea Village, Trinidad to Sahadeo Dookie and Mahadaye Dookie. He spent most of his life visiting and living in various cities, as he was loved and adored by many. He is survived by his longtime companion Kimberly Rajpaul, and his siblings Jango, Sago, Wok, Manday, Seema, and Hema. He also had many nieces and nephews, in-laws, and friends who he never failed to bring smiles and laughter to with his larger than life sense of humor. Peppy had a burning passion for music, and many talents for creating. He was renowned as a singer, and lover of chutney. His musical career did not fall short of extraordinary, as he has several records and sang with some of Trinidad's greatest. Family and friends are encouraged to attend a celebration of life gathering located at Leahy McDonald Funeral Home on 111 Street and Atlantic Avenue, Jamaica NY 11419. The viewing will take place on Friday July 16th, 2021 from 6:00pm-9:00pm, followed by the Funeral on Saturday July 17th, 2021 form 8:00am-10:00am. The cremation will follow.
