Derek “DJ” Davis, Jr, age 24,  tragically gained his wings on July 7, 2021 in Akron, Ohio.

He entered this world on June 11, 1997, to Keywana Williams and Derek Davis Sr and was a 2015 graduate of Buchtel High School.

DJ was a free hearted soul that will forever be remembered for his laugh, his humor, his love of life and “on my dead dog”. He adored his family, his children, and his friends that became family. Everywhere he went he made life brighter just by his presence. He will be missed immensely by all those who were lucky enough to have known him.

Preceded in death, DJ joins his grandparents Larry Williams and Elaine Davis; his brother Donnie Chambers; and best friend Walter Matthews.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving parents Keywana Williams and Derek Davis Sr; great grandmother Martha Williams; grandmother Barbara Williams; his children Derek III (Lexy), Kingston (Selina), Kamilla (Savannah), and Aleighse (Ceira); siblings Taylor, D’Aire, Jaysean, Shawntay, Contrella, Tyrill, and Thomas; girlfriend Taris Dunn; Aunts Karla Williams, DeShawn Davis, and Karla Talley; uncles Cameron Williams and Phillip Junius; nieces Jakiah and Serenity; Godmother Erica Watson; special cousin Ravin Martin; as well as a multitude of cousins and friends too numerous to name.
