JoAnn Asher, age 75, of Jeff, KY, passed away onSunday, July 11, 2021, at the Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington, KY. JoAnn was a lifelong resident of the Jeff community, baptized in the late 1950's and worked as a Teacher and Principal at Leatherwood Elementary as well as Dilce Combs High School. She was born on December 27, 1945 in Perry County, KY to the late William Asher and the late Zola Sturgill Asher. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by one sister: Shirley Holbrook; as well as one sister-in-law: Regina Statzer Asher. She is survived by her life partner: Bobby Gray; one sister: Rosetta Cornett (Colson) of Slemp, KY; three brothers: Edward Asher of Jeff, KY, Jerry Asher (Barbara) of Viper, KY, Jimmy "Jim" Asher (Christine) of IN; nieces & nephews: Todd Asher of IN, Mike Dunnigan (Diane) of Viper, KY, Tonya Melton (Larry Bruce) of Viper, KY, Barry Cornett of Slemp, KY, Derrick Cornett of Slemp, KY, Courtney Gover (Isaac) of Lexington, KY as well as a loving host of family & friends.
