Lenora Virginia Keough Glace Bay It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Lenora Virginia Keough on Thursday July 8th, 2021, at Seaview Manor, Glace Bay. Born in Whitney Pier, on June 17, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Hannah (Ryan) Keough. Lenora belonged to the Sisters of St. Martha, Antigonish for many years. She proudly taught school for over 30 years until she retired and moved back to Sydney to take care of her family. Lenora was a person of deep faith, and she will be fondly remembered for her prayers on behalf of many. She was an avid reader, always caught up in a good mystery, and enjoyed a hot cup of tea with her family and friends. She will be lovingly remembered by her brother Dan (Claire) Keough, Sydney, and dear friend and niece Margaret (Frank) Horyl, River Ryan. She was predeceased by her brothers Rusty, Joe and Pius; sisters, Carrie Deleskie, Sister Maria Pius Keough, and Harriet McMaster; nephews, Daniel Gregory Keough and Pius Patrick Keough. She is survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends. We would like to thank the staff at Seaview Manor for their compassion and care over the years. Donations in Lenora’s name may be made to the charity of one’s choice. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation as per Lenora’s wishes.
