John Thomas “Jack” Ryan, of Bethany passed away July 8, 2021 in Yale New Haven Hospital after a brief illness. He is the beloved husband of Patricia Noster Ryan. Born in Meriden on April 28, 1959, son of Eileen Flanagan McCusker and the late Edward J. Ryan Jr., Jack was an Airfoil Cell Operator at Pratt & Whitney for many years. He and Patty were members of the Righthanders Club at Lime Rock Park and enjoyed attending Formula 1 racing throughout the US. Jack enjoyed his involvement with Meriden Little League with his son and was an active member of Christ Episcopal Church in Bethany. He is the proud father of John Muniz and his wife Karla. Loving grandfather of Peyton Muniz. Brother of Edward (Paula) Ryan, Timothy (Kim) Ryan, Cathleen (Donald) Porto, Eileen (Peter) Specht, James (Paige) Ryan, Frances (Michael) Homich, and Patrick (Lisa) Ryan. Brother-in-law of Bernice Crespo. Also survived by many nieces and nephews including Lucille and John (Jenna) Crespo, Holli Ryan and Ryan (Nicole) Drummond. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service Tuesday morning at 11:30 in Christ Episcopal Church, 526 Amity Rd. in Bethany. Per State decree, those who are unvaccinated will be required to wear a mask for indoor services. Burial will be private. The Iovanne Funeral Home, Inc. is in care of his arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Camp Harkness Foundation 301 Great Neck Rd. Waterford, CT 06385.
