Margaret Rita Doyle
<p><strong>Passed peacefully away on July 8, age 101, in her own home in Avondale.</strong></p> <p><strong>Margaret Doyle was predeceased by her husband Gerald, her cherished daughter Mary Ellen, infant children Peggy and Gerald, and her parents, sisters and brothers.</strong></p> <p><strong>Leaving behind to celebrate her wonderful long life are her seven sons: Clar, Jerome, Gervase, Pat, Bernie, Gerald, Jimmy and their partners, who adored her and of whom she was very proud.</strong></p> <p><strong>She was Nanny Doyle to her 18 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. She was a “special mother” to nephews and nieces.</strong></p> <p><strong>Mom was devoted to her family and showed unconditional love. She was interested in everything they did from their workday to their driving passion for theatre.</strong></p> <p><strong>Above all, there was laughter. She took great pride in her home, and she loved the flowers. She had a strong faith and her connection to the Church was significant to her.</strong></p> <p><strong>Thank you to other special people in her life, notably her cousins; Mae, Annie and Kitty who brought her joy and comfort, to Father Thomas and past priests of Avondale Parish, to Doctor Paul Walsh who cared for her over the decades and finally, to Bernie whose devotion to his mother was boundless. He was not only her caregiver but her constant companion.</strong></p> <p style="text-align: center;"><em><strong>“A mother’s love is a blessing”</strong></em></p> <p><strong>Resting at Dunphy’s Funeral Home, Holyrood. Visitation will be in keeping with Covid-19 Regulations and will take place on Monday, July 12 from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm. The funeral Service will be by invitation due to Covid-19 Restrictions. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Assumption Catholic Church, Avondale on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at 11:00 am with cremation to follow. For those unable to attend, the funeral mass will be livestreamed with the link available below.
