GAWECKI, LEO P. of Waterford, formerly of Dearborn Heights, and later retired to Sugar Springs, Michigan; July 8, 2021; age 93; Loving husband of Amelia Felice Gawecki for 66 years; Beloved father of David (Michelle) Gawecki, Linda (late Monte) Settlemoir, Karen (David) Cox and Kathy Moran; Cherished grandfather of Corey, Kyle, Monte, Tiffany (Nick), Michael, Justin, Chelsea and Karlee; Great-grandfather of Claire and Krystal. Mr. Gawecki was a Foreman at Burroughs. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and was a member of the V.F.W. Romanowski Post 6896 of Detroit. A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, July 30, 2021 at 12:00 Noon at Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church, 5481 Dixie Highway, Waterford. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Mass Intentions.
