James "Jim" V. Manduzzi Obituary

James “Jim” Manduzzi passed away peacefully at age 97 on July 8, 2021. He was the loving husband of the late Ann Marie and the beloved father of Denis (Susana), Lee (Theresa), Diane Rabe (Robert) and Alan (Kathleen). Devoted Nono of Michael (Nadia), David (Gosia), Daniel (Alicia), Christopher (Jacqueline), Robert (Jamie), Stephanie (Derek), Andrea (Mark), Steven, Richard (Jenna), Matthew (Jenna), Laura (Samuel), Erica, Andrew and the late Ann Marie. Devoted Great Nono to Julia, Sonia, Olivia, Natalie, Lucas, Brad, Joey, Sophia, Nicholas, Ryan, Lia, Ava, Ella, Max, Riley, Juliana, Anna, and Daniel Jr. Jim was a World War II Army Air Corps Veteran, a Henry Ford Trade School graduate and worked at General Motors for 41 years. He was an avid golfer, even recording a hole in one, and an excellent bowler up until a month before his passing. Jim won Senior Olympic medals in his age group for bowling, though admittedly the group was not large. While he enjoyed his sports, his true love and passion was his family, watching it grow, enjoying all the birthdays, baptisms, weddings, picnics, travels and Sunday dinners. His legacy will be one of enduring love and generosity to his family, his kindness to his friends and neighbors and his deep faith in God. He will be sadly missed by all but he will leave behind memories to be treasured forever. Family will receive friends Sunday, July 11, 2021 from 3-8pm with a 7pm Rosary at A.J. Desmond & Sons (Vasu, Rodgers & Connell Chapel), 32515 Woodward Ave. (btwn 13-14 Mile), Royal Oak, (248) 549-0500. Funeral Mass Monday, July 12, 2021, 10am at Church of the Transfiguration, 25225 Code Rd., Southfield. Visitation at church begins at 9:30am. Memorial tributes to the Raynaud’s Association or the Scleroderma Foundation-MI Chapter.
