<p>Edith Faye (Vance) Chewning age 90, of Onego, WV passed away Thursday, July 8, 2021 at Grant Memorial Hospital.</p> <p>Faye was born on April 23, 1931 in Onego, WV and was the daughter of the late John Alonzo Vance and Elsie (Mallow) Vance.</p> <p>In addition to her parents, Faye was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Jackson “Jack” Chewning on December 29, 2012; three daughters, Rheba Propst, Betty Hubbard, and an infant daughter, Rose Ellen Chewning; one son, John Paul Hedrick; two grandsons, John Eric Hedrick and Brady Goldizen; two sisters, Opal Berg and Arvella Turner; four brothers, Don Vance, Glen Vance, Guy Vance and Eldon Vance. </p> <p> Faye is survived by:</p> <p> Two sons --</p> <p>David A. (Christena) Vance of Elkins, WV</p> <p>Kenneth J. (Bobbi) Chewning, Jr. of Petersburg, WV</p> <p>One daughter --</p> <p>Barbara Porter of Maysville, WV</p> <p>Fourteen Grandchildren, Seventeen Great Grandchildren and Four Great-Great Grandchildren</p> <p>One sister: Violet Kimble of Upper Tract, WV</p> <p>One brother, Kenneth (Bernice) Vance of Brooklyn, MD</p> <p>Funeral service will be Saturday, July 10, 2021 at 12 Noon in the Chapel of the Schaeffer Funeral Home in Petersburg with the Revs. Dan and Daniel Ewald officiating.
