Sue Buttram

<p>Flora (Sue) Buttram, 82, of Rossville, died on Thursday, July 8, 2021 at Hospice Care Center in Chattanooga. Mrs. Buttram was born in Ducktown, TN and lived the past 56 years in Rossville, GA where she was a member of the Spring Creek Road Baptist Church. Sue graduated from Copper Basin High School in 1957 and retired from the Catoosa County Board of Education after 38 years of service. She worked as a cafeteria worker at Cloud Springs Elementary School where she loved being part of the &ldquo;Lunch Bunch&rdquo; group. Sue was a hard worker and also worked a second job at Food Lion for 23 years.</p> <p>Sue always put family and friends first and will be loved and missed by all who knew her.</p> <p>She was preceded in death by her parents, Maude Lee and Charlie Presswood; brother, James Presswood; sister, Vivian Presswood Lane; and nephew, Edsel Newman.</p> <p>Survivors include her two children; daughter, Sherri Buttram Stearns (Brad) of Atlanta, GA and son, Joe (Lynn) Buttram II of Rossville, GA; sister, Wanda Presswood Newman; several nieces, great nieces and great nephews.</p> <p>Funeral services will be 2:30 PM, Saturday in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Mike Sims officiating. Interment will be at Zion Hill Cemetery, Turtletown, TN.</p> <p>In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the American Cancer Society.</p> <p>Visit www.heritagebattlefield.com to share condolences with the family and view the livestream of the service.</p> <p>Visitation will be from 4-8 PM, Friday and from 1-2:30 PM, Saturday at Heritage Funeral Home &amp; Crematory, Battlefield Parkway.</p>
