<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size:14px;">Allen Ward, 59, of Mooreton, ND, passed away on Wednesday, July 7, 2021, surrounded by his family, at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, ND. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 9, 2021 from 5:00 pm - to 7:30 pm followed by his prayer service at 7:30 pm at St. Anthony&rsquo;s Catholic Church in Mooreton. Visitation will continue Saturday, July 10, 2021 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am followed by his Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am at the church.&nbsp; Fr. Kurtis Gunwall will officiate.&nbsp; A livestream of the Funeral Mass&nbsp;will be available on the funeral home website. Burial will be in St. Anthony&rsquo;s Catholic Cemetery in Mooreton.&nbsp; Arrangements have been entrusted to Vertin-Munson Funeral Home, Wahpeton, ND.</span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size:14px;">Allen Wayne Ward was born June 7, 1962, in Breckenridge, MN, to Wayne and Janice (Althoff) Ward. He graduated from Wahpeton High School and obtained a degree from North Dakota State College of Science.</span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size:14px;">Allen was blessed with two children, a daughter, Tayler and a son, Codie. He was so proud of them. Most recently, he had the honor to walk his daughter, Tayler, down the aisle at her wedding and welcome his new son-in-law, Nathan A.K.A. George, to the family. Allen spent his entire life as a farmer, seed and chemical salesman by taking over the family business and being a dedicated son, brother, dad and friend. In his spare time, he loved to be with his family and friends. He was often caught giving his unique grin or cracking jokes, winning meat raffles, and enjoying the company of so many people, including the coffee club (at the casino). Allen was a community minded man by supporting clubs and organizations such as: Mooreton Trapshoot Club, Bison Team Makers, Mooreton Community Club, Mooreton Fire Department, and served on Mooreton City Council for many years.</span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size:14px;">Allen is survived by his children, Tayler (Nathan) Blaufuss, and Codie Ward; his parents, Wayne and Janice Ward; his sisters, Pam (Kerry) Lindemann, Sherri (Pat) McFarren, and Brenda (Troy) Klosterman; and many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.</span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size:14px;">Allen was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Lester and Leona Ward; maternal grandparents, William and Della Althoff; and his uncles, William F.
