Mary Margaret “Peggy” Moore, 75, of Orange Beach, AL died at her daughters’ home in Sturgis, MI on June 29, 2021. Peggy was born on July 25, 1945, in North Arlington, NJ to John Berman and Frances L. (Kimberly) Springer. Peggy worked for many years as an Administrative Assistant for the First State Bank of Middlebury in Middlebury, IN. She was happiest attending all of her grandchildren’s activities or sporting events. On July 1, 2006, in Howe, IN she married Gerald Moore; he preceded her in death on November 1, 2020. Surviving are her three daughters, Tammy (Rick) Deisler of Sturgis, MI, Sherry (Joseph Wyss) Byler of LaGrange, IN, and Cathy (Tommy McLimans) Dodd of Howe, IN; eight grandchildren, Alexandria Byler, Brittany Rettig, Nicholas Byler, Mikayla Deisler, Sami Deisler, Emily Byler, Brooklynn Rettig, and Carmen Rettig; and two great-grandchildren, Cameron and Titus Rettig. Along with her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; and her siblings, Henrietta Rhinestadtler, James Berman, and Anna Mae Rhinestadtler. Funeral services will take place on Friday, July 9, 2021, at 11:00 am at the Frurip-May Funeral Home, 309 W. Michigan St., LaGrange, IN. Stephen M. Holmes will officiate the service. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in LaGrange, IN. Visitation will take place on Thursday, July 8, 2021, from 4-7 pm at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Southern Arizona Cat Rescue, 771 W. Calle Ormine, Sahuarita, AZ 85629. Her granddaughter, Alexandria Byler, is a founding member of the rescue.
