DWIGHT VARNER STERLING- Dwight A. Varner, 80, of Sterling died Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at Rock River Hospice and Home of Sterling. Dwight was born March 13, 1941 in Sterling the son of Doris Ballard. Survivors include his wife, Janet; two brother-in-laws, Jim (Jan) Wiemken, Don Wiemken; cousin, Patricia Pitts of Sterling; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, David Varner; one daughter Gweyn Varner; two brother-in-laws, Glen Wiemken, Dewayn Wiemken. Funeral Services will take place at 11AM on Monday, July 5, 2021 at Schilling Funeral Home and Cremation of Sterling with Pastor Brad Wilson, officiating. Visitation will take place prior to funeral service from 10AM-11AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow and take place at Oak Knoll Memorial Park, Sterling. A memorial has been established.
