DURHAM: Louise Jeanette Attaway, 93, passed away Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at Treyburn Rehab in Durham. She was born in Lawrenceville, Georgia to the late James and Ora Bradberry. In addition to her parents, Ms. Attaway is also predeceased by her daughters, Sandra Lynn, Sheryl Smith; son, Mike Attaway; and brothers, Wilson Bradberry, Junior Bradberry, Hinton Bradberry, Luther Bradberry, Sam Bradberry. Ms. Attaway was a mother to 9 children and was a homemaker until her children were grown. She then worked for Duke University Medical Center for 15 years until retiring at 65 years of age. Ms. Attaway attended Fellowship Baptist Church in Durham. She is survived by her daughters, Susan Denise Attaway, Juanita Joyce Lemmons, Carolyn Gail Palazzo, Lisa Fay Zarlenga; sons, David Brian Attaway, Dwight Ray Attaway; sister, Bernice Millsapps; brother, Clarence Bradberry; 14 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 3rd at Fellowship Baptist Church with Dr. Rick Finley officiating. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 6th at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens. The family is being assisted by Clements Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc. in Durham.
