<p>Earvin Fern Purkey, age 85, of Morristown, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at Turkey Creek Medical Center in Knoxville. Earvin was preceded in death by his son, Earvin Dale Purkey, Jr.; mother, Cora Belle Jefferson Purkey; father, James Charley Purkey; brothers, Homer Purkey, James Hubert Purkey, Clifford Purkey, William Finley Purkey, George Bradley Purkey, and Arie Buster Purkey; and sisters, Samantha Purkey, Junie Purkey Howerton, Alta Purkey Bell, Dorothy Purkey Scearce, Helen Purkey Lindsey, Okie Purkey Bunch, and Inez Purkey Collins. He leaves behind his loving wife of fifty-nine years, Frances Purkey; daughter, Lisa (Rodney) Humphrey; granddaughters, Mandy (Colton) Buchanan and Maddie Leona Humphrey; brother, Tivis (Imogene) Purkey; and several nieces, nephews, and sisters-in-law. The family will receive friends from 6 &ndash; 8 p.m. Friday, July 2nd at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 8 p.m. with Rev. Richard Webb officiating. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 3rd at Sunderland Cemetery. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.</p>
