Passed away surrounded by her family at the Lady Minto Hospital in Cochrane on Tuesday June 29, 2021 at the age of 88. She was the daughter of the late Joseph & late Vadney (nee Etherington) Hookimawillillene. Mother of the late Susan Solomon (Jacques Lepage), late Denise (Jerry) Lazarus, Mary Hookimaw and Peter Hookimaw, son-in-law Jack Solomon, grandmother of Richard Solomon, Danny Solomon (Nakina Stevens), Stephanie Solomon, David Hookimaw, Devin Hookimaw, Andrew James Lazarus, Leonard Lazarus and Takara Jollata, great-grandmother of Leya, Jade, Kensley, Macy, Dominick, Joey, Lydia, Carter, Andrew and Neil, sister of late Antoine Hookimawillillene, late Louise Sackaney, Late Remi Hookimawillillene (Annie Metatawabin), late Matthew Hookimawillillene and Moses Hookimawillillene. Annie will also be greatly missed by nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends.

Grandma Annie loved sewing, scratch tickets, playing cards, bingo and the beautiful moccasins she made.

If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Life Long Care Program at Cochrane Ininew Friendship Center and would be greatly appreciated.

Visitations will be held on Tuesday August 24, 2021 from 7 to 9 pm and Wednesday August 25 from 9:30am to 10:30am at Irvine & Irvine Funeral Home, 70 Seventh Avenue South, Cochrane. The Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday August 25, 2021 at 11 am followed  by the interment at the Cochrane Catholic Cemetery with her daughter Susan.
