Dale Clardy, age 65 of Eddyville, IL passed away on June 29, 2021, at home. He was born on July 29, 1955, to Lee and Myrtle (Bailey) Clardy in Harrisburg, IL. Dale was good at math, building and a jack of all trades. He was a retired carpenter. Dale loved children, family cookouts and his family. He was an avid horseback rider and outdoorsman. Dale is survived by eight siblings, Ethel Rushing of Harrisburg, IL, Howard Clardy of Florida, Marge Lowry of Metropolis, IL, Jean (Billy) Buttrum of Vienna, IL, Shirley (Larry) Dorian of Poplar Bluff, MO, Wanda Cook of Metropolis, IL, Gale (Carmen) Clardy of Eddyville, IL, Wendell Clardy of Vienna, IL, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and horseback riding buddies, Red Stafford and Dave DeLong. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six siblings, Glen Clardy, Kenneth Clardy, Mary Ruth Grisham, Vivian Bates, Edna Russell, David Allen Clardy. Funeral service will be held 1:00 pm on Sunday July 4, 2021, at Aly Funeral Home in Eddyville, IL. Burial will follow at Boulden Cemetery in Eddyville, IL. Bro Michael Friend will conduct the service. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until time of service on Sunday at the funeral home.
