Ruby Imogene Arnold

Ruby Imogene (Crawford) Arnold, 96, passed peacefully early Tuesday morning, June 29, 2021, surrounded by her family at her daughter’s home in Garden City, Kansas. She was born on April 27, 1925 to Elva W. (McGee) and Clarence Allen Crawford in Rolla, Kansas. Ruby graduated from Rolla High School in 1943. She married Robert Sheridan “Bob” Arnold at the Rolla United Methodist Church on July 5th, 1943. Robert passed away on September 15, 1997. Ruby and Bob had a sense of adventure! They were passionate about traveling to all fifty states and parts of Canada on their Honda Gold Wing motorcycle, often traveling alone or with friends from a local Christian motorcycle club. Ruby and Bob liked spending time in Branson attending gospel music events during the fall or Christmas seasons. After fifty years of marriage they celebrated with a vow renewal in Branson. Ruby liked to be creative with her hands by knitting or crocheting special gifts for her family. She played the organ and she and Bob both liked to play the steel guitar, often performing for their families at special gatherings. Ruby found much joy in the last few years living close to her family in Garden City. Ruby had a deep faith in God. She attended the Pentecostal Holiness Church when she lived in Rolla. When the family moved to Sublette in 1960, Ruby attended faithfully at the Sublette Church of the Nazarene. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Park of Garden City, KS; grandchildren, Shelly Turner and husband, Keith, of Jacksonville, FL, Steve Park and wife, Leta, of Garden City, KS, Tracy Davis and husband , Mike, of Holcomb, KS, and Michael Park and wife, Shawn, of Garden City, KS; great-grandchildren, Dalton Park who is deployed to Germany, Tansy Hill and husband, Brendon, of Manhattan, KS, Trevor Park of Fowler, CO, Haily Park of Olathe, KS, Mackenzie Hickman and husband, Jerrett, of Holcomb, KS, Amanda Smith of Jacksonville, FL, Ashley Smith of Jacksonville, FL, and Allison Smith of Jacksonville, FL; great-great-grandchildren, Nevaeh Webb, Kyla Clark, Kason Watkins, Karleigh Watkins, and Kelsie Smith. She is preceded in death by husband, Robert Arnold; daughter, Baby Lana Arnold; son, Robert “Bobby” Arnold; sister, Helen Hamilton; and brothers, Eugene Crawford, and Fredrick Crawford. Funeral Service will be 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 3, 2021 at the Church of the Nazarene, 302 S. Wooten, Sublette, Kansas with Pastor John Harms officiating. Interment will be at the Rolla Cemetery immediately following the service.
