<p>Fred Michael&nbsp;Tesone&nbsp;was born on September&nbsp;5th,&nbsp;1930 in Louisville, Colorado. He&nbsp;passed&nbsp;away&nbsp;June 29th, 2021 in Littleton, Colorado at his home at the age of 90.&nbsp;</p> <p>Fred is&nbsp;preceded&nbsp;in death by his&nbsp;parents,&nbsp;James&nbsp;V.&nbsp;Tesone&nbsp;and&nbsp;Giovannina&nbsp;(Jenny)&nbsp;Tesone, siblings;&nbsp;Fiori&nbsp;Tesone,&nbsp;Marian&nbsp;DiGiacamo, Lina&nbsp;Pinelli,&nbsp;Annetta&nbsp;Domenico,&nbsp;Nello&nbsp;Tesone, Gloria&nbsp;Gammage,&nbsp;and&nbsp;his children; daughter,&nbsp;Edie&nbsp;Tesone&nbsp;and his son,&nbsp;Tom&nbsp;Tesone.&nbsp;Fred is survived by his wife, Lois&nbsp;Tesone&nbsp;and four sons;&nbsp;Jim&nbsp;Tesone, Tim&nbsp;Tesone, John&nbsp;Tesone&nbsp;and Ron&nbsp;Tesone. He leaves behind a legacy of&nbsp;13 grandchildren,&nbsp;and 13 great-grandchildren.</p> <p>Fred was a native of Colorado,&nbsp;where he grew up in Louisville and found and married his middle-school-sweetheart, Lois&nbsp;Chiolino. He graduated from Denver University in 1955&nbsp;on a football scholarship. Fred and Lois later found themselves in the Littleton area where they raised&nbsp;6&nbsp;children before making their way to Cherry Creek, Colorado. Fred&rsquo;s career at Cherry Creek High School was as a physical education teacher, athletic director and head football coach from 1962 - 1989. His record at CCHS&nbsp;was 272 wins,&nbsp;49 losses, and 2 ties. Amongst many football playoff wins, league wins and three&nbsp;state championships, Fred&nbsp;Tesone&nbsp;was one to remember. As a head coach, Fred received;&nbsp;The&nbsp;University of Colorado&nbsp;Ed&nbsp;Lesar&nbsp;Award, 2 Outstanding Achievement&nbsp;Awards, Colorado High School Association Coaching Award, several&nbsp;Coach of the Year awards, 25 years of service, and 200 wins. He&nbsp;was inducted into The&nbsp;Colorado Coaches Hall Of Fame in 1996,&nbsp;The&nbsp;University of Denver Sports Hall of Fame in 1999,&nbsp;<a href="https://www.coloradosports.org/hall-of-fame/athletes/2004-inductees/fred-tesone/">The Colorado Sports Hall of Fame in 2004</a>,&nbsp;CHSAA Hall of Fame 2009, and The Order-Sons of Italy in 2012. &nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>Fred&nbsp;Tesone&nbsp;was not only an incredible Coach/Mentor to athletes and other&nbsp;coaches,&nbsp;but a true family-man. We are&nbsp;remembering Fred as a patriarch to the&nbsp;Tesone&nbsp;family, and an unbelievable&nbsp;friend and community member.&nbsp;</p> <p>The immediate family would like to thank&nbsp;you&nbsp;for all your kind words during this time.</p> <p>Fred&nbsp;Tesone&nbsp;will be celebrated&nbsp;on Thursday July&nbsp;8th, 2021 with his Funeral Mass&nbsp;beginning at 1:00 p.m. with a Rosary held before for those who wish to attend.&nbsp;Mass will be&nbsp;held&nbsp;at&nbsp;Light of the World Catholic Church, 10306 W. Obituary

Fred Michael Tesone was born on September 5th, 1930 in Louisville, Colorado. He passed away June 29th, 2021 in Littleton, Colorado at his home at the age of 90. 

Fred is preceded in death by his parents, James V. Tesone and Giovannina (Jenny) Tesone, siblings; Fiori Tesone, Marian DiGiacamo, Lina Pinelli, Annetta Domenico, Nello Tesone, Gloria Gammage, and his children; daughter, Edie Tesone and his son, Tom Tesone. Fred is survived by his wife, Lois Tesone and four sons; Jim Tesone, Tim Tesone, John Tesone and Ron Tesone. He leaves behind a legacy of 13 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.

Fred Tesone will be celebrated on Thursday July 8th, 2021 with his Funeral Mass beginning at 1:00 p.m. with a Rosary held before for those who wish to attend. Mass will be held at Light of the World Catholic Church, 10306 W. Bowles Ave Littleton, CO 80127. The funeral mass will be live-streamed here. A reception will follow and a celebration of his life will ensue.
