Thomas J. "Tommy Tunes" Falcone Obituary

Thomas Joseph Falcone 69 of Warwick, died peacefully on Monday June 28, 2021 at Kent County Hospital. Thomas was known to everyone as “Tommy Tunes” due to his work as a DJ for over twenty years and was a recent member of the oldies group “Classic Blend”.

Born in Providence on December 23, 1951 to the late Angelo and Celeste "Esther" (Corsetti) Falcone, he was the eldest and only son who had five younger sisters;  Angela Falcone of Cranston, Carol Santagata of Boca Raton, Florida, Patricia Lanigan and her husband Sean Lanigan of Cranston, Maria Falcone of Cranston and the late Diane Linden. He grew up in Cranston and attended Valentine Almy, Park View, and graduated from Cranston East.

Besides his sisters, Thomas leaves behind a son, Matthew Falcone of Cranston, three daughters; Kristin and Lauren Falcone of Cranston, and Samantha Falcone, of Coventry and was the former husband of the late Francine (Pertucci) Falcone. He was lovingly known as "Papa Tom" to Dante, Jayden Falcone, and Isabella Degnan. In addition, Thomas leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who were like family.

Tommy Tunes was well-known to many and was a character. He always had jokes and a great sense of humor. Developing a love for music at a young age, he sang and played guitar. The Beatles and The Doors were among some of his favorites as was most Motown and Doo-Wop. Music was a very big part of his life. He would volunteer time as a DJ to many different causes when he was needed. The Patriots and The Red Sox were his favorites and would amp up his anxiety every time. Being of full Italian decent, some of his favorite moves were The Godfather Series, Goodfellas, A Bronx Tale, My Cousin Vinny and Casino and he would quote those movies quite often. He really was a funny guy.
