<p>Granville Vernon &quot;Doc&quot; Turner, age 83 of Hamilton, passed away at his residence on Friday, June 25, 2021. Doc was born in Hazard, Kentucky on June 12, 1938 to John and Matilda Turner. Upon his graduation of high school, Doc enlisted in the United States Navy. He was stationed all over the world during his 23 years in the Navy. Doc had rose to the rank of E9 Master Chief; lastly being Master Chief of the Command aboard U.S.S. Inchon. In November 1959, he married Shirley Miller, who preceded him in death in 1987. On August 19, 1994, he married Theresa Tatman. Doc was a member of the Masonic Temple Camden Lodge No. 159, VFW, DAV, American Legion and AMVets.</p> <p>Doc is survived by his wife of 26 years, Theresa Turner; his children Billy (Lisa) Turner, John &ldquo;Hank&rdquo; (Christy) Turner and Cathleen (Scott) Bippus; his step-children, Joseph (Jennifer) Tatman and Erik (Melissa) Tatman; his grandchildren, Dawn Marie (Larry) Leese, Billy (Jaylene), Michael and Christopher Turner, Bryan (Katie) Johnson, Ali (Dillan) Anderson, Gates Turner, Josh (Christina) Shifflet, Stanley Simpson, Tony Hubbard, Sara (Kyle) Blake, Angel (fianc&eacute; Christian Millard) Bippus, Christian Bippus, Joey, Caleb, Ashley, Jessica, Erik, Layla and Logan Tatman; his 20 great-grandchildren with two on the way; and his sister, Jay Muscari. Doc was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 27 years, Shirley Turner; his daughter, Kimberly Turner; his step-son, Tony Tatman; his grandson, Corey Tatman; and his siblings, Francis Turner, Florence Smith, Felix Turner, Mae Nieman, Charlene Noe and Levi Turner.</p> <p>A Celebration of Life service will be held at the convenience of the family.</p>
