Shirley May Shortz, 89, of Grand Ledge, Michigan, passed away on June 24, 2021. She was born April 19, 1932 in Grand Ledge, Michigan, daughter of Lenard and Leah (Toms) Penfield. Shirley enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls, and making clowns. She loved taking care of her children and family meant the world to her. Shirley is preceded in death by her parents, and her beloved husband Lewis. She is survived by her son, Eric (Karen) Shortz, daughter, Judith (William) Schreiber, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation will be held Monday, June 28, 2021 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Peters & Murray Funeral Home, Grand Ledge. Immediately following the visitation a graveside service will be held at Meadowbrook Cemetery in Mulliken, Michigan.
