Joan M. Coyle, 86 of Woodlyn, PA, died Saturday, June 19, 2021. Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late John and the late Rose (Haggerty) Coyle. Joan graduated from St. Edmond Parish School and West Philadelphia Catholic Girls High School. Joan received her nursing degree from St. Agnes Hospital Nursing School and did post graduate work at Johns Hopkins University and Episcopal Hospital School of Anesthesia. Joan worked as a Nurse Anesthetist at various Philadelphia hospitals. She was also employed by the United States Public Health Services working at the Grand Canyon Hospital South Rim of the Canyon and serving the Navajo and Hopi tribes in Arizona and New Mexico. Predeceased by: Her parents and her sisters: Rose Catherine Cruice, Marie Furey, Barbara Burke, and Eleanor Tronca. Survived by her sisters: Carol Coyle and Frances Davis, many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and great-great nieces and great-great nephews. Funeral Mass and interment Private.
