Obituary
Joshua Leo Laston, 32, of Perrysburg, Ohio passed away on Monday, June 21, 2021. Josh was born in Oregon, Ohio on September 19, 1988. Josh graduated from Perrysburg High School in 2007 where he played Rugby and won a Michigan State Rugby Championship in 2007. He loved playing rugby, and played for various teams throughout Ohio, which included Toledo Celtic Rugby Club. Josh was an avid fan of the Cleveland Indians and Ohio State Football. He loved to watch Movies especially the Disney+ ones. He received an Associate’s degree from Ohio Dominican University, Columbus, OH. and a Bachelor of Nursing Science degree from Mount Carmel School of Nursing, Columbus, Ohio. He previously worked for Cleveland Clinic, Toledo Hospital and was currently employed by Mercy Health Life Flight. Joshua was a true healer and took pride in saving others’ lives. Surviving are his parents, Kathy (Rob) Keel, Chuck (Lyn) O’Shea; siblings, Noah Keel, Caitlin & Carly O’Shea; grandmother, Dorothy O’Shea. Aunts and Uncles: Dennis (Karen) Laston, Bonnie (Jim) Kennedy, Debra (Paul) Belegrin, Beth Ann Laston, Michelle (Jerry) Cowell, Melanie Hickman, Michael (Judy) O’Shea Sr. Cousins: Rob (Michelle) Belegrin, Kristie (Scott) Tucker, Jeff Belegrin, Andrew Hickman, Thomas (Rachael) Hickman, Taylor Laston, Beccah Cowell, Kari Skinkiss, Kyle Kennedy, Michael (Sarah) O’Shea Jr., Elizabeth (Ryan) Huntermark, and James O’Shea. Josh was preceded in death by his grandparents, Patricia and Leo Laston, Charles O’Shea Sr. and Uncle, Christopher Hickman. Visitation will be held at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel , 440 S. Coy Road, Oregon on Monday, June 28 from 12:00 Noon until Service at 7:00 pm.; at 6:00 pm there will be a Mercy Health Life Flight fly over and salute. Burial will be private at Lake Township Cemetery. Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy in Joshua’s memory are asked to consider St. Judes Children’s Hospital, or Suicide Prevention.
