Thomas J. Carlson Kane, Pennsylvania Obituary

Thomas J. Carlson

KANE Thomas J. "T-Bone" Carlson, 63, of 424 Park Ave. died Saturday evening (June 19) at his residence. He was born in Kane on Jan. 2, 1958, the son of the late Walter and Emma (Bouch) Carlson. On Sept. 18, 2006 he married Melissa Foote, who survives. Tom was a graduate of the Kane High School Class of 1976. He had worked many years on the Kane Borough Road Crew, plowing the streets and taking care of the town. He was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and just riding on the dirt roads. T-Bone loved all kids and brought them under his wing. He would do anything for the community. One of the many entertaining stories about T-Bone is when he was walking through a field outside of Kane and was mistaken for the escaped convict Bucky Philips, and was not so nicely apprehended before he could explain the mistake they were making. In addition to his wife he is survived by two daughters Elisha (Brian) Osmer of Kane and Erin (Adam Baldwin) Carlson, of Hawley, PA; three brothers, John (Melinda) Carlson and Walter "Wally" (Lori) Carlson, both of Kane and Kenneth "Wade" (LeAnne) Carlson of North Tonawanda, NY; two sisters, Deborah (Bob Nelson) Fry and Alice (Mike) Bizzak, both of Kane and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Toni Morgan and his beloved dog Butch. Friends may attend a memorial service on Thursday (June 24) at 1:00 p.m. at the Cummings Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made to the McKean County SPCA 80 Glenwood Ave, Bradford, PA 16701 or the Kane Fish and Game Club PO Box 621, Kane, PA 16735. Online condolences may be expressed at www. cummingsfh.com.
