Wayne Trimble

Wayne Trimble, 96 of Corydon passed away Saturday, June 12, 2021 at Mercy One – Des Moines. Wayne was born to Charles Earl & Martha Edith (Mitchell) Trimble in Sewal on September 26, 1924. Wayne was a veteran of the United States Army-Air Force, serving during World War II for three years and twenty two days. On October 6, 1949, Wayne was united in marriage to Kay E. Hutchison. To this union came three children: Gary, Vickie and Greg. Wayne was a heavy equipment operator his entire life. He enjoyed watching Westerns on TV, fishing, hunting and riding horses. Wayne was also a big John Wayne fan and was identified as a very generous man throughout his life. Survivors include his wife of 71 years, Kay Trimble, children: Gary Trimble (Jo Beth), Vickie Trimble, Greg Trimble, six grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild and numerous extended family. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Matthew Selby, brothers, Eugene Trimble, Harold Trimble and an infant sister, Lucille Trimble. Graveside service will be 11:00 am, Saturday, June 19, 2021 at Corydon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Corydon Volunteer Fire Department and condolences may be shared at www.thomasfh.com or facebook.com/thomasfuneralhome.
