Sheila Morton Loy

<p>Sheila Morton Loy, 74, passed away on June 12 at Alamance Regional Medical Center (ARMC). Born in Albemarle, NC, to Paul and Pauline Morton. Sheila was married to her husband, Tommy Loy for nearly 56 years and was a resident of Alamance County for most of her life. She graduated from Graham High School and The Technical Institute of Alamance.</p> <p>She is preceded in death by her parents Paul Morton and Pauline and Grady Workman; brother Don Morton and his wife Carole, and Tommy&rsquo;s sisters Zelma Heyworth and Kathy Huey-Lane.&nbsp; Sheila is survived by her husband Tommy; in-laws; Melinda and Mac McDaries of Hampstead NC, Reverend Sam and Wanda Loy of Maury NC and Jerry Lane of Mebane NC.&nbsp; She also is survived by nieces and nephews; Rob Morton, Tanya Moore, Nathan Huey, Darlene Truesdale, Todd Heyworth, Andrew Loy and Kathryn Williams, and extended family in the Albemarle area.</p> <p>Over the years Sheila worked as Office Manager at Burlington Industries Print Shop and later Bennett Packaging and finally as executive secretary of Dee Gee Fabrication in Graham NC.</p> <p>In 2001 Sheila retired to enjoy the full-time companionship of Tommy, her soul-mate of 60 years. An avid reader, she also enjoyed traveling, card stamping and interior decorating.&nbsp;</p> <p>Her friends and family remember Sheila as a person who claimed her space and opinion and respected the rights and opinions of others.</p> <p>Special Thanks to the staff of Always Best Care Senior Services; the staff of Authoracare Hospice and the comfort care nurses at ARMC.</p> <p>No Funeral or memorial services are planned. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to the Salvation Army, PO Box 1238, Burlington NC 27216-1238</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
