Swanton - Teresa Jane (Smith) Bushey, 68, passed away on Tuesday June 8, 2021 at McClure Miller Respite House in Colchester. She was born on July 8, 1952 in Burlington daughter of Merril and Phyllis (Snay) Badger. In her free time Teresa enjoyed playing bingo, going to the casino to play the slot machines, traveling to Maine, and most of all spending time in her numerous flower gardens. Teresa is survived by her loving husband Leonard Bushey of Swanton; her two sons Jesse Smith and wife Amanda; Jeremy Smith and wife Jessica; two daughters Diane Matton and husband Jason; Amy Matton and husband Derek; her mother Phyllis Badger; five siblings Terry Badger and wife Sue; Bradley Badger, Debbie Brown; Donna Mobbs; Patricia Hay; seven grandchildren Shelby; Hailey; Olivia; Lillian; Dylan; Brooke; Lizzy; Dustin, a great grandson William; many special friends including her best friend Cathy Woodward and many nieces and nephews. Teresa was predeceased by her father Merril Badger, 1st husband Richard Smith, and her brothers Michael Badger, and Merril Badger Jr. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday June 15, 2021 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at A W Rich Funeral Home – Fairfax Chapel.
