Pearle L. O’Neil, 97, of Haverhill, passed away on Thursday, June 10, 2021, at Penacook Place in Haverhill. She was born in Haverhill on May 13, 1924, the daughter of the late Elmer J. and Bertha (Woodburn) Carter. Pearle attended the Haverhill School System and graduated from Haverhill High School. Her loving husband, William J. O’Neil Sr., passed away in 1962 and following his passing, she attended Northern Essex Community College where she received her associates degree. She then went on to attend Lowell State College and received her bachelor’s degree in psychology. She would then receive a master’s degree in special Needs from Fitchburg State. For many years, she worked as a Special Needs Teacher at Whittier Tech in Haverhill. She was a member of the Trinity Episcopal, Church. She enjoyed spending her time sewing for her family. Along with her husband, Pearle is predeceased by her daughter Laurie A. (O’Neil) Marlin and her son William J. O’Neil Jr. Pearle is survived by her children: Margaret “Peggy” L. O’Neil of Haverhill, Edward F. O’Neil III of Haverhill, and Mary E. O’Neil of Tewksbury. She is also survived by her son-in-law, Bradley Marvin of Florida. She also leaves behind several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by the H.L.
