Gloria E. Byrd

 Gloria E. Byrd nee Albrecht, age 97 of Wheaton. Beloved wife of the late Elvis M. Byrd, loving mother of John C. (Julie) Byrd, Judy E. (Richard) Hoepner and Thomas W. (Diane) Byrd, cherished grandmother of Michael (Janae) Hoepner, Jeanette (Rob) Krueger, Amber (Eric) Nowak, Ryan (Shelby) Byrd, Jennifer Grubbs and great-grandmother of Evelyn, Kennedy, Jaxson, Graci and Kelci, dear sister of the late Irving ( late Gladys) Albrecht, late Charlotte (late Hub) Brueckner, late infant Gerhardt and sister-in-law of Glenn (Jean) Byrd, Roy (late Syd) Byrd, the late Eldon (Garvalene) Byrd, late Herbert (late Audrey) Byrd and the late Francis Sue (late Bill) Benningfield, fond aunt of Richard (Martha) Brueckner, late Mark (April) Albrecht and great-aunt of Deadra (Al), cousin of the late Lester (Noreen) Troike, Melodie (John), Shelli (Josh) and many other loved nieces and nephews, dearest friend of Loretta, Patricia, Elizabeth and many others. Through the years, Gloria loved and cared for many pets and animals. Gloria taught Sunday school for 7 years at Christ Lutheran Church, Oak Park,  she was a dental hygienist for 13 years and an Avon representative and cosmetician. In her later years, she taught ceramics alongside Elvis and was an active church member throughout the years at Trinity Lutheran York Center, Lombard and St. John Lutheran, Wheaton where she was President of the Women’s Circle.
