Stella Barnard, 94 year old Fort Supply resident, passed away on Thursday, June 10, 2021. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday June 18, 2021 In the Burkhardt Chapel in Frederick, Oklahoma. Arrangements were made under the direction of Billings Funeral Home.

Stella Mae Barnard (Tyler), daughter of the late Hubert T. Tyler and Rebecca Louann Tyler (Colvin) was born July 6, 1926 in Manitou, Oklahoma. She attended Frederick Public Schools in Frederick, Oklahoma where she resided before moving to Ft. Supply, Oklahoma.

She was united in holy matrimony to Leon Wendell Barnard, Sr. in August of 1942 in Tillman County, Oklahoma. This union was blessed with four children. Leon Wendell Barnard preceded her in death on May 18, 1986.

Mae was an active member of the Baptist Church in Ft. Supply, Oklahoma. She spent time donating to various charities and helping others in any way that she could. As a result of her generous spirit and pleasant personality, she was loved by many. She was anything but typical, she had determination and an attitude for life unlike any other. She loved spending time with her family, going to their events, and working in her yard.

Her life was as beautiful as the flowers that she loved so well, and her influence will forever remain in the lives of all who knew her. She departed this life Thursday, June 10, 2021 in Enid, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Barnard, Sr.; Her parents, Hubert Tyler and Rebecca Tyler (Colvin); her siblings Clarence Tyler, William Tyler, Robert Tyler, James "Zeke" Tyler, Marie Gray and Peggy Gray; son-in-law Terry Myers; grandson William Dale Barnard.

Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her family: Leon Wendell Barnard, Jr. of Electra, TX, LeeAnn Thomas (Barnard) and husband N.L. Thomas of Ft. Supply, OK, Keith and Alnita Barnard of Woodward, OK, and Pam Myers of Woodward, OK. Grandchildren: Lynda Zint and husband Richard, Carolyn Barnard and partner Ryan, Brian Barnard and wife Leslie, Sheena Ratzloff and husband Eric, Denice Thomas, Janet Nickles, Michael Thomas and husband Jason, John Myers, and Jennifer Myers. Great Grandchildren: Casa Johns, Veronica Barnard, Kara McKamie, Tara McKamie, Brandon McKamie, Wesley McKamie, Morgan Cieri and Shelby Whitworth, Ana Barnard, Connor Barnard, Kourtney Tune and husband Ky, Grant Tune, Kayleigh Schurter and husband Zane, Kenzi Ordaz and husband Victor, Katelyn Thomas, Teagan Thomas, Brittany Nickels and Dalton Nickels, and Stella Jade Myers; and many great-great grandchildren, cousins and friends.

To those who helped grandma continue her independent spirit; Ky and Kourtney Tune, Zane and Kayleigh Schurter, Victor and Kenzi Ordaz, Katelyn Thomas, John Myers, Jennifer Myers, Tyler Stafford, and Gina Heidlebaugh.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project with Billings Funeral Home accepting donations.
