<p>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>Wallys J.&nbsp;&ldquo;Wally&rdquo; &nbsp;D&#39;Agostino, 72, of North Providence, passed away on June 9, 2021, surrounded by family.&nbsp;&nbsp;Wally is survived by her husband of 49 years, Edward &ldquo;Woody&rdquo; D&rsquo;Agostino; her sister, Maryanne Ziegler, of Bristol; her daughter, Jennifer Arkuss and her husband Brett, of Providence; her son, Edward and his wife Jenny, of Lincoln; and her five grandchildren: Ivy, Julia, Cash, Huxley and Edward, Jr.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Wally grew up in West Warwick, daughter of the late Robert &nbsp;and Anna (Moskalyk) Tucker.&nbsp;&nbsp;She graduated from West Warwick High School before earning her B.A. at the University of Rhode Island and her M.A. in early childhood development from Rhode Island College.&nbsp;&nbsp;She taught kindergarten at Masie Quinn School in West Warwick and various grades in the North Providence school system before working in human resources at the Rhode Island Department of Administration for 25 years, retiring in December 2019.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Wally and Woody&rsquo;s special relationship throughout their marriage was universally admired by their friends and family.&nbsp;&nbsp;Gracious hosts for holidays and celebrations, they seamlessly worked together in making everyone who entered their home feel welcomed and loved.&nbsp;&nbsp;Wally and Woody were each other&rsquo;s biggest supporters, best friends and constant companions.&nbsp;&nbsp;Wally treasured Sunday dinners with her family, and above all else, being with her cherished grandchildren, whom she joyously doted on.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Wally was a longtime season-ticket holder of the URI men&rsquo;s basketball team and a lifelong supporter of URI athletics.&nbsp;&nbsp;She loved planting flowers every spring and caring&nbsp;for them daily throughout the summer, and spending time with her close friends and their families, especially the annual summer week in Maine.&nbsp;&nbsp;Wally touched the lives of countless relatives, friends and coworkers, leaving an indelible image with her kindness, compassion and generosity.&nbsp;&nbsp;She will be greatly missed, but never forgotten.</p> <p>Calling hours will be held at A.A. Mariani &amp; Son Funeral Home, 200 Hawkins Street, Providence, on Tuesday, June 15th from 5 to 7 p.m.&nbsp;&nbsp;A Requiem Eucharist will be held at 10 am Wednesday, June 16th at Trinity Episcopal Church, 249 Danielson Pike, North Scituate. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute,&nbsp;P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284-9168.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>

Wallys J. “Wally”  D'Agostino, 72, of North Providence, passed away on June 9, 2021, surrounded by family.  Wally is survived by her husband of 49 years, Edward “Woody” D’Agostino; her sister, Maryanne Ziegler, of Bristol; her daughter, Jennifer Arkuss and her husband Brett, of Providence; her son, Edward and his wife Jenny, of Lincoln; and her five grandchildren: Ivy, Julia, Cash, Huxley and Edward, Jr.

 

Wally grew up in West Warwick, daughter of the late Robert  and Anna (Moskalyk) Tucker.  She graduated from West Warwick High School before earning her B.A. at the University of Rhode Island and her M.A. in early childhood development from Rhode Island College.  She taught kindergarten at Masie Quinn School in West Warwick and various grades in the North Providence school system before working in human resources at the Rhode Island Department of Administration for 25 years, retiring in December 2019.  

 

Wally and Woody’s special relationship throughout their marriage was universally admired by their friends and family.  Gracious hosts for holidays and celebrations, they seamlessly worked together in making everyone who entered their home feel welcomed and loved.  Wally and Woody were each other’s biggest supporters, best friends and constant companions.  Wally treasured Sunday dinners with her family, and above all else, being with her cherished grandchildren, whom she joyously doted on.  

 

Wally was a longtime season-ticket holder of the URI men’s basketball team and a lifelong supporter of URI athletics.  She loved planting flowers every spring and caring for them daily throughout the summer, and spending time with her close friends and their families, especially the annual summer week in Maine.  Wally touched the lives of countless relatives, friends and coworkers, leaving an indelible image with her kindness, compassion and generosity.  She will be greatly missed, but never forgotten.

Calling hours will be held at A.A. Mariani & Son Funeral Home, 200 Hawkins Street, Providence, on Tuesday, June 15th from 5 to 7 p.m.  A Requiem Eucharist will be held at 10 am Wednesday, June 16th at Trinity Episcopal Church, 249 Danielson Pike, North Scituate. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284-9168.
