Joanne S. Macklin

Joanne S. Macklin, 88, of Quincy, passed away Thursday, June 10, 2021 at Promedica Coldwater Regional Hospital. She was born on August 7, 1932 in Detroit to Kenneth and Myrl (Renwick) Beers. On September 1, 1950 she married Otis W. Macklin Jr. and he preceded her in death in 2001. Joanne graduated from Quincy High School, Class of 1950. She was a bus driver for Quincy Community Schools for eight years. Joanne loved reading, watching Hallmark movies and shopping. Joanne is survived by two daughters, Trudy (Andy) Bonham of Quincy, Tracy (Patrick) Davis of Coldwater; two sons, Thomas (Marcia) Macklin, Terry (Kim) Macklin both of Quincy; 15 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Otis, Joanne was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Tia Macklin and one son, Timothy Macklin. Per Joanne’s request, cremation has taken place and a private family graveside will take place in Lakeview Cemetery in Quincy. Memorial contributions are suggested to Maple Lawn Medical Care Facility. Arrangements are entrusted to the Eagle Funeral Home-George White Chapel in Quincy.
