RUBY L. RECK Ruby L. Reck, 79, of Piqua, died at 1:43 pm Monday, May 26, 2008 in the Upper Valley Medical Center. She was born October 11, 1928 in Champaign County to the late Ira and Mertie (Cox) Bowser. She married Clarence R. Reck June 2, 1951 in Troy; he preceded her in death April 20, 1985. Survivors include a daughter, Kendra A. (Jeff) Schneider of Piqua; a daughter-in-law, Sandra Reck of Sidney; seven grandchildren; a great grandson; and two nieces. She was preceded in death by a son, Kim A. Reck, and a sister, Alberta Campbell. Mrs. Reck graduated Lena-Conover High School in 1946, and retired in 1976 from the Ohio Bureau of Employment Service following thirty years of service. She was a member of the Piqua Church of the Brethren, A.A.R.P., and the Public Employment Retirees organization. A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 pm Thursday, May 29, 2008 in the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Lutz officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until 1:00 pm Thursday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to one's favorite charity.
