Gwendolyn Anne Dorrington (Anne), 75 of New Glasgow passed away peacefully with family by her side in the Palliative care ward at the Aberdeen Hospital after sudden illness on June 7, 2021. She was born in New Glasgow to the late Armour and Gwendolyn (Roy) Cornett. Anne was a kind and loving woman who loved animals, traveling and her family and friends. She always enjoyed time spent visiting and chatting with anyone and everyone. She is survived by her children Sara (Mike) McKenny, Ottawa and Adam (Tess), Truro: 3 grandchildren Sam, Nolan and Laney Dorrington: sisters Ruth Dobbin, Abercrombie, Helen (Willard) Gaudet Pickering: brother- in- law George (Mary) Dorrington, New Glasgow. Many nieces and nephews. A special thank you to the amazing ladies who helped in Anne's care over the past few years. You weren't only caregivers, you were also great friends to her. She was predeceased by her husband Hugh (Sam), brothers-in-law John and Frank (Danky), sisters in law Gertrude (Gertie), and Angie and June Dorrington. The family would like to thank the staff at the Aberdeen Hospital Emergency department, Palliative care unit, Dr. Farrell and Dr. Lee. There will be a celebration of Anne's life at a later date. Donations may be made to the Pictou County S.P.C.A., the Palliative care unit at the Aberdeen Hospital or a charity of your choice. angusfuneralhomes.com
