Eugene Wright

KANE Eugene Wright, 67 of 90 Vera Lane, Lewis Run and formerly of Meadville for many years, died Friday evening (May 28) at his residence. He was born on Jan. 27, 1954 in Kane, the son of the late Floyd and Dorothy (Keener) Wright. On May 27, 1978, in Kane, he married Carol Rodgers, who survives. Eugene and Carol had lived in Meadville for the last thirty years, returning in just the last year to the Kane area. While in Meadville he had worked as a mechanic at several different places. He had also been a Cub Scout and Boy Scout Leader and was previously a member of the Masonic Lodge. Surviving relatives include his wife, one son Bubba Miller of Cayce, SC; two daughters Kristi (Justin) Graves of Cambridge Springs and Nicole Wright of Meadville; one sister, Dora (Mike) Gelatko of Kane; four brothers, Jack (Jessie) Keener of New Bern, NC, Chuck (Sue) Wright of Junction City, KS, Vern (Anita) Oyler of Kane and Sam (Cindy) Oyler of Kane; five grandchildren, Haley Miller, Kristin Graves, Jason Graves, Brooke Wright and David Wright and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one son Joshua Wright and one brother Frank Kridler. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday (June 3) at 3:00 p.m. at the Cummings Funeral Home, with the Rev. Philip Pinczewski officiating. Following cremation burial will take place in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of the donor's choice. Online condolences may be expressed at www.cummingsfh.com.
