Marian Grace Eno Killaloe, Ontario Obituary

Marian Grace Eno

It is with immense sadness that our family announces the passing of our mother, Marian Grace Eno (nee Pooler) at Ottawa Civic Hospital on Sunday May 23, 2021. Marian follows her husband Michael who passed away in January and we know they loved each other so much that they will be reunited once again forever. Marian raised her family to know how selfless, intelligent, wise and supportive a Mother can be. Marian is survived by her beloved sister, Linda Grace (nee Sloman), brother in law Rev. Barney Grace and sister in law Catherine MacMaster; and predeceased by her dearly remembered brothers Ralph, Ken, younger brother Don and her sister Lorna. She will always be Mom to Susan, Laurie, Michael, James and Mary-Jane; Grandmother to Alexandra, Leanna, Jacqueline, Jennifer, Rebecca, Dylan and Anna; Great Grandmother to Santino; and Aunt Marian to several nieces and nephews. Marian was raised in Highland Creek, seamstress for Cole of California, later married and worked for GM in Oshawa, blazing a trail for working women in the 60s and 70s, even chosen to drive the 8 millionth car off the GM line. She raised her family and retired with her husband of over 66 years in Round Lake. Mom enjoyed traveling, reading extensively, finishing crossword puzzles in pen and completing complex jigsaw puzzles as well as sewing, baking and taking concern in her gardens. She was marvelously intelligent in many subjects, yet was extremely modest. Marian was surrounded by love to the end and she will be remembered in our hearts forever. A Celebration of Life for Marian will be held together with her husband Michael at a future date following a lifting of restrictions due to the pandemic. Marian’s ashes will be interred along with Michael’s in St. Mathew’s Cemetery, Madawaska. In lieu of flowers, donations might be considered on Marian’s behalf, to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
