Eva Jean Miller

Eva Jean (Abernathy) Miller, 76, of Oden, Arkansas, passed away, May 25, 2021, at CHI St Vincent in Hot Springs, Arkansas. She was born November 3, 1944 in Oden, Arkansas, to Jesse and Virdie Fryar Abernathy. She is preceded in death by both her parents, her husband of almost 54 years; Chester Miller, brothers; Allen Abernathy, Larry Abernathy, Everett Abernathy, Eugene Abernathy, Isaac Abernathy, Bobby Abernathy and Bill Abernathy. Eva Jean and her husband Chester lifelong residents of Oden, owning the Oden Store for years, she also worked at Jim’s Jewerly, Action Reality and the First National Bank as the secretary. Eva was a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church, she was a sweet, kind, loving lady that loved her Lord, family and friends. Eva Jean is survived by her son; Stan Miller and wife Freda, daughters; Robin Fryar and husband Stephen, Rhonda Willborg and husband Bobby, grandchildren; Mesa Miller, Chasiti Brewer and husband Marcus, Amber Godwin, Derrick Fryar, Jeb Willborg and Jayden Willborg, great-grandchildren; Skylar Godwin, Trace Brewer, Mayli Brewer and Bentley Godwin, brother; Ted Abernathy, sisters-in-law; Mary Jo Abernathy, Jenean Burkes, Janice Miller and June Miller, a special friend; Don Ford, along with numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Visitation will be Thursday, May 27, 6-8 pm, at Thornton Funeral Home Chapel. Service will be held Friday, May 28, 2021, 10:00 am, at Mount Olive Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Oden, Arkansas with Bro. Kyle Cowart and Bro. Arlie Francis officiating.
