Doris M. (Steger) Gouker, age 84, of Hanover, passed away at home, on Tuesday, May 17, 2021. She was the loving wife of the late Leon E. Gouker, who passed away in 1987. Doris was born in Manchester MD on February 19, 1937 and was the daughter of the late Alvin Steger and Lettie (Zepp) Steger. She worked at Pillowtex in Hanover for many years prior to retiring. She was a former member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Hanover. She is survived by her daughter Karen L. Gilligan and her husband Michael; her grandchildren Leon E. Gouker III and John J. Gouker and her great-grandson Mayson Cole Gouker. She was predeceased by her son Leon E. Gouker Jr., 2 brothers and 3 sisters. Funeral services and interment are being held privately by the family under the direction of Murphy-Beck Funeral Home & Cremation Service Inc., of McSherrystown.
