Vincent "Jimmy" Gatto

Vincent “Jimmy” Gatto, 54, of Waretown formerly of Keansburg, passed away at 4:20pm on Thursday, May 20th, at Community Medical Center. He was born in Brooklyn, New York, raised in Keansburg, prior to moving to Whiting and then Waretown. Jimmy was an owner/operator truck driver for Apollo Transport in Whiting. He enjoyed fishing and traveling with his son James, was an avid Mets and Giants fan. Jimmy had a great personality; he was larger than life and always was a jokester. He was a great father, loved to make people laugh and was very generous. Jimmy was predeceased by his mother; Joan Gatto in 2020. He is survived by his loving son; James Richard Gatto and his mother Ruth Gatto both of Toms River. His fiancé; Dana Seeley of Waretown, his two brothers; Peter and Anthony Gatto, his sister; Donna Gatto of Florida and his two fur babies Crisco and Yogi. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Wednesday, May 26th form 5-8pm at the Jacqueline M. Ryan Home for Funerals 233 Carr Ave. Keansburg. On Thursday, May 27th at 10:00am there will be a funeral mass held at St. Ann’s Church, Keansburg. Cremation will be private. In lieu of flowers please make donations to James R. Gatto college fund.
