Gregory Anthony DeMario

Gregory A. DeMario, 73, of Keyport formerly of Massachusetts, passed away on Friday, May 14th, at Bayshore Medical Center, Holmdel. He was born in New York lived in Brooklyn and Staten Island where he raised his family prior to moving to Massachusetts for 17 years. He then moved to Hazlet where he lived for 7 years before moving to Keyport. Gregory attended Pace University, after college he went on to serve his country as a Sergeant for the US Marines from 1966 – 1968. He retired from Pan Am Railways in Massachusetts as a Purchasing Manager. Greg had a passion for music, he played the guitar, loved rock and roll especially Bob Dylan. He was an avid Knicks fan. Greg was very romantic; he loved the beach and long walks. He also enjoyed traveling, going to concerts and vacationing. Gregory is pre deceased by his parents, Angelo and Dorothy DeMario; his son, Daniel C. DeMario and his brother in-law Christopher McKenna; He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Kathryn DeMario of Keyport; his son, Matthew J. DeMario of Mass; his brother in-law, Tom and Roberta McKenna of Middletown; his sisters in-law, Patricia Vaccarelli of Hazlet, Nancy and Scott Rademacher of Hazlet and Virginia and William Barry of Holmdel; many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers please make a donation in Greg's name to the American Lung Assocation at Lung.org. A Memorial Mass will be held at Saint Leo the Great in Lincroft on Wednesday, May 26th at 10:15am. Inurnment of ashes to follow at Bayview cemetery, Leonardo Arrangements were under the direction of the Jacqueline M. Ryan Home for Funerals 233 Carr Ave. Keansburg. Cremation was private.
