Todd M. Rabideau
Brattleboro- Todd Michael Rabideau, 52, of Frost Street, a longtime resident of Brattleboro died unexpectedly Friday morning, April 15, 2016 at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon. Todd was born in Plainfield, New Jersey on October 24, 1963 the son of James and Mary Jane (Deneault) Rabideau. He was raised and educated in Brattleboro attending Saint Michael's School and was a graduate of Brattleboro Union High School, Class of 1981. He went on to attend Vermont Technical College in Randolph Center for a short time. He worked as a general contractor all of his career initially employed for ten years by Clark Construction until the company closed and eventually established his own general contracting business. Todd was an accomplished builder with a reputation as being a perfectionist, well known for his meticulous work. He thoroughly enjoyed his craft and profession. During his younger years Todd excelled in sports and enjoyed skiing, fishing and many other outdoor activities. A quiet unassuming and humble man he was known for his spirit of friendship and heart of gold. A lifelong Catholic, he was a communicant of Saint Michael's Roman Catholic Church. Survivors include his mother, Mary Jane Bibeau of Brattleboro, one sister, Jodi Harrison and her husband J. Robbie of Brattleboro, niece Aimee Harrison, nephew Adam Harrison, great nephew, Brody Harrison, and special friend Jennifer Sasso and family. Additionally he leaves many aunts, uncles and cousins. Todd's life was also full of many loyal friends who he loved and was loved in return. He was predeceased by his father, a brother, Brian James Rabideau, step-father Robert Bibeau, and both sets of grandparents. In accordance with his final wishes, he wanted to go quietly on his way in his new spiritual journey. There are no formal funeral services scheduled. Burial of his cremated remains will be in Saint Michael's Parish Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Todd's name may be made to, Rescue Inc., P.O. Box 593, Brattleboro, VT 05302, Saint Michael's School, 48 walnut Street, Brattleboro, VT 05301, or to a charity of one's choice.
