Robert "Woody" Dean Woodall, Jr. Obituary

Beloved husband, cherished father, treasured brother, uncle and friend, Robert “Woody” Dean Woodall, Jr., age 60, passed away in Karnack, Texas on May 15, 2021.  Woody was born on June 15, 1960 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Robert Dean Woodall, Sr. and Mary Nell (Lawson) Woodall.

Woody is preceded in death by his daughter, Kaye Lee Woodall; his parents, Robert and Mary Woodall; brothers, Jack Woodall, Tommy Dreyer and Ray Dreyer; and his father-in-law, Kenneth Rippy VanDeventer.  He is survived by his loving wife of 33 ½ years, Sheila Kaye VanDeventer Woodall; his son, Rippy Dean Woodall; brothers, Ernest Woodall (Paula) and Richert Mathias; sister, Mary Catherine Woodall; mothers-in-law, Judy VanDeventer and Bettye Spruell, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and special family members.

Woody was a member of the Church of Uncertain.  He attended Karnack High School, and completed trade school to become a plumber.  Woody enjoyed watching football and Nascar (his favorite was Alex Bowman #48), and listening to old country music from Willie Nelson and Hank Williams, Jr.  Woody was a homebody, loved his family and friends, and would help anyone in need.  He loved just “hanging out” and was everybody’s best friend.  Woody was well loved and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A Memorial Service will be held for Woody on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at the Church of Uncertain at 5:00pm, with Rev. Joe Chisum officiating.  Online condolences may be offered at www.meadowbrookfh.com
